Most small pellet machines with flat dies which have a cheap price and small size are produced for making feed pellets. However many dealers have seen the rapid growth in demand for fuel pellets and simply jumped on the band wagon selling their feed pellet makers as wood pellet making machine.
If you are a beginner of fuel pellet making, the first point you should remember is one pellet making machine cannot deal with all kinds of biomass material. Grass pellets for example, pressing grasses for feed is dramatically different from pressing wood for fuel on power input, rotation speed etc. And pellet die is one of the key issues. If the die of you pellet making machine is too rough, it will easily get blocked when press wood fiber and you will have to spend a lot of money to do the cleaning. So when purchasing a pellet making machine for wood pellets, you should not buy from cheap pellet machines. Because while the machine is cheap, it also cheap in the other sense of the word. You will waste more time than the value of saving the money from purchasing a quality pellet making machine in the first place.
