Our commercial grain mill collocate with different sieves which can be changed, from producing fine flour for making bread or milling first rate flours and broken cereals. The commercial grain mill sieve sizes has 2.5mm, 4mm, 6mm and 8 mm.
The commercial grain mill makes the cumulative size distributions of the first, second and third outlet streams were found to normalize with respect to roll gap setting using only a single fitting parameter. Similar results were obtained for the first, third and fifth reduction rolls. The milling process partially successful in normalizing previously published break-milling data. The measured separation in the six plansifters studied was compared with an ideal separation on the basis of size, assuming that there was no breakdown or aggregation of individual particles within the plansifter. Our commercial grain mill results indicate that the milling is ideality.
