The power take-off (PTO) serves as a spline drive shaft, usually located on a tractor or truck, which can easily be used to supply energy to wood pellet making machine or pellet mill. It is specifically created to be connected and disconnected conveniently. The power take-off makes it possible for implements, such as wood pellet mill to get energy from the engine of a tractor.
Semi-permanently mounted power take-offs are able to be located on other pelletizing equipments as well, including feed mill pelletizer and small biomass pellet mill. These equipments generally use a Cardin shaft and bolted joint to send power to a PTO pellet mill. When it comes to a marine application, such shafts may very well be applied as the engine of fire pumps.
